Carvin wattage

I have noticed on the Carvin site, they say some of their amps can be run at 100/50/25 watts. Has anyone ever taken one down to 25 watts? How did the amp sound? What else did this do, aside from cutting volume?

Re: Carvin wattage

I've never really messed with the Carvin amps specifically, but I usually find that this has a very small effect on the overall volume of the amp. It usually just allows it to break up a little sooner and generally have a looser tone. In some cases it'll affect the class of operation but a lot of that is just marketing hype.
