Carvin X 100 head

I ran across one for 200.00, I think i can get it cheaper than that though. Anyone have one or know anything about them. Is it worth my time?

Thanks,

Robert

Re: Carvin X 100 head

One of my more inexpensive amps is a Carvin X 60. It's a 1x12" combo. I had a repair tech change the 6L6s to EL34s and also had a gain mod done. Was only $130. including the labor. Well worth it to me. Their factory gain was way too muddy for me. Now, one thing I did find ..... The clean channel is "SUPER CLEAN" .... IMO ... it beats the hell out of a fender clean. I've Cranked it up and it doesn't break up at all. I was looking at getting the X 100 head at first, but it's just way too loud for me.

The main thing to me is that if you don't like it at all ... or if you change your mind down the road .... you'll easily get your money back. So, it's not really taking a risk.
