Question

Case for IC400?

i just got a new IC400 Iceman but Ibanez is no longer making a REAL Iceman case. the IC100C is for the smaller IC200 (ICX100?) and similar models but not the IC400. i tried this guitar in a few of my cases and none were even close. i'm a little agitated looking for a case when very few companies actually show dimensions and most don't even show the interiors .
the dimensions of the IC400 are: 43 1/2" long, 13 1/2" wide, 1 3/4" deep. the cases i researched are:

Ibanez:
ATK1000c - made for BTB basses but seems like a nice case but i can't find dimensions anywhere. this would be one of my top two choices if it fits. $99.95
ICB100c - made for the Iceman bass but again, no specs and it doesn't seem as nice as the ATK case but costs more. $109.95
Large case (what a name?)- this one looks like the original case that fit the IC500 without the cut-out formed for the Iceman. if this is basically the same case, this will be the one i want to get, but again, no specs on dimensions to be found . $99.95

Gator:
GW Extreme case - black with foam pieces to help fit around whatever guitar you have but they don't list the Iceman as one of the models they expect this case to be used for. price seems high for what it is. $124.95
Extreme case - Camo version of the black case offered by Gator. i don't know the differences besides the finish and price. $99.95

Coffin Case:
200VX - universal case to fit Explorers, Vs and odd-ball shapes. this case seems like it MIGHT work as they actually have the dimensions listed but it is really oversized in every angle which will be cumbersome to load/carry but will also leave the guitar "floating" inside without adding some foam or towels. i have a couple of their cases and other than the intersteing shape and cool interior they are definitely NOT heavy weight cases for the money. $119.95

i have been watching evilBay and see a beat to crap Iceman case come up every now and then but i would prefer a nice new one. i will goto evilBay only if i absoluetly have to. the ATK and "Large" Ibanez cases are my first two choices so if anyone has one and can get me actual inside dimensions, it would be greatly appreciated. if anyone knows of a better alternative or recommends anything, i'm all ears.
thanks in advance.

Re: Case for IC400?

what can i say, i guess i'm an odd-ball with an odd-ball guitar on my hands.

i always wanted one of these and since i no longer have my Explorer(s) i wanted another radical shaped guitar. i almost got the ESP FX400 with the spalted maple top and real EMG's. this came along at COST so i nabbed it. sweet guitar. looks great. the cut reminds me a little of the Fernandes Ravelle on the lower bout. i can't wait to break it in onstage.

You've been almost as bad as me at buying guitars lately!

Re: Case for IC400?

except mine have all been under a grand if i only count the ones this year and not my N6
i'm now waiting on my new $400 Audio Technica wireless. my cards are about maxxed out but i'm hoping to squeeze out a set of Livewires and a case for my IC400 in the next couple weeks before i'm totally tapped. those RG20ths (all three colors) will be smacking me soon.
