Carvin 4x12 cabinet

get an MP-1 boy, you'll find any tone you're looking for, and you can find it for a couple hundreds on ebay.

the MP-1 (Midi Tube Preamp) were made by ADA back in the early '80s.
it's got 2 12AX7 tubes, 128 programmable presets where you can set 2 Master Gains, Bass, Mids, Trebs, Master Volume, Tube or Solid State mode, Send/Return on or off, Chorus (rate & depth) and other stuff i cant remember now. it's got an AMAZING sound, it's ultra-versatile and painfully simple to use. i usually dont like digital stuff with displays, buttons etc, but the MP-1 can be used even by a newborn.
many and many pros used it for years, you can hear it in Mr.Big albums, or Metallica (Master, Justice & Black Album including), Nuno, even Les Claypool used it alot.
for more info, check this amazing site: www.ada-mp1.com you will find anything about ADA.
check the Artists page!

i had a g7 for a few years. as i recall it sounded pretty good for the price. (my friend turned me onto it, because he was using it with his bass--his sound was killer!!!) the biggest issue was the drop-out/delay between patches, drove me crazy!!! it was partially the midi controller i was using (control seven) but i tried it out with a few others, and although it was better, it still had an obvious delay. i would probably have kept it, but i ended up getting a johnson millenium which pretty much made the g-7 a moot point!!! but i still kind of wish i had it...
traded it off to a friend so i can always visit it though!!!

if you like the sound of the g7, but want some tube action in there, you may want to check out a digitech 2120 artist...
