Check out what arrived yesterday!

This arrived for me yesterday, full titanium double locking tremolo from Hantug Custom Guitars.

This thing looks amazing, the only parts that aren't titanium are the springs and Allen keys pretty much. It'll be going on my Musikraft San Dimas clone.

Re: Check out what arrived yesterday!

Wow. Ertu's stuff looks really great, but I cannot bring myself to justify the cash to get titanium stuff. Not that I think his prices are unreasonable, I'm sure they are affordable compared to other titanium hardware.

I've been wanting his titanium wraparound bridge for some time, but again, at quadruple for a Gotoh wraparound, it becomes a budget issue on the guitars I'm building as it costs almost as much as everything else combined especially if i can get used pickups on the auction site.

When do you think you'll be able to finish the San Dimas clone? I'd love to hear it with the titanium stuff. Did it come with a titanium locking nut as well?

I cannot predict if it makes any difference in tone, but it surely looks good. I am curious what it can do in those cases that the wood wants to cancel certain notes and kill sustain, and whether it will have any effect or not.

His stuff is excellent. Expensive, but yes less than the competitors. If you've got the money and want to experience it, titanium does make a difference in tone.

My experience with a titanium vintage strat tremolo with brass baseplate points to yes, it makes a big difference in tone, and very much to my liking. I'm sure this will be just as good.
