Choosing multieffects. GT10? TLLE? ZOOM?

Hello!
I have a chance to choose a multieffects to buy.
The one i'd like to buy is the nova system (tc electronics) but it's too expensive.
So I see myself with 4 options: POD X3Live; BOSS Gt-10; TONELAB Le; Zoom G9.2tt

The X3L i discarded for many reviews saying malfunctions, bugs, it's plastic-made, etc. Even if it's better than the others, i want to choose one that will function for a looong time.

My main doubt is between GT10 and Tonelab LE.
I know most of the pros and cons of each one, and would like to have your help with some questions ^^:

- Is the USB of GT10 REALLY good for recording? Or does it have too much latency, noise, etc?
- Are the amp simulations of the GT10 really that much worse to the ones of POD and Tonelab?
- For the Tonalab LE, its tone is really that good to overcome its limitations like no distortion+compression, or compression+wah, or even distortion+wah? (The last one i've heard that can be done).
- The Tonelab LE have an effect like Whammy Pedal? Its octaver is good? What about its delays?
- Is the s/pdif of the Tonelab LE good for recording without an expensive sound card?
- The G9.2tt have a tone near to Tonelab LE once it has tubes too? The zoom also has USB, heard its distortions are good for metal, etc.
- It's a very hard choice... which one do you think I should buy?

I often play the songs of Steve Vai, Satriani, Van Halen, Dream Theater, U2 and some fusion.
The effects that really matters for me are:
Delay and Distortion (the most important of all to me)
Reverb, Chorus, Whammy pedal, Wah wah and Harmonizer are very important too.
Any other strange, or experimental effects doesn't really matter for me, as I'd hardly use them.

I know it's a tough decision, that's why I need your help so much.
I'd like to hear any comments of yours, any.
Thanks in advance ^^
(P.S.: Sorry for any grammatical errors, I'm from Brazil)

Re: Choosing multieffects. GT10? TLLE? ZOOM?

I'd get Tonelab LE no questions asked. First, it does sound fantastic, and second - something much more important to me - it plays much more like a real amp and feels much more "alive" than the competition. Out of all modelers out there Tonelab is the most "organic", in my opinion. I am convinced that it's got the fastest response of them all: touch the string - and hear it immediately, which gives me a very satisfying feeling of being "connected" with the unit. With all other modelers I always feel a "gap" between the strings and the electronics, as if there was some tiny little minuscule - but still noticeable - delay, or something ... could be just me though. But I certainly suggest paying attention to this aspect when trying out your choices next time.

P.S. Hear Tonelab here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kqsuet6lMzE

Edit: Oops, just realized that the video above might be taken as one of mine - it is not. Just a good example of how nice Tonelab can sound

Thanks for your reply, Zann =)
I'm indeed thinking on the Tonelab.
Very nice video too, sounds like stompboxes, not something digital.
About the wah+distortion and compressor+distortion things.. could you give me a word on that? About its delays, whammy pedal an so on... I'd be really grateful ^^

Re: Choosing multieffects. GT10? TLLE? ZOOM?

I am afraid the link to the video I dropped in the first reply made a wrong impression that it's me playing there - it is not, sorry about the confusion. Even if I had the same equipment I'd still need that skill! And I own only the original Tonelab, purchasing LE is still in the future plans (can't justify buying LE without selling the original I already have, but at the same time I can't sell my original because I like it so much, heh...). So I am afraid I can only refer you to other places with more information about Tonelab LE - you may know them already, too: http://www.tonelab.net, http://tonelabz.vibemaker.com, http://www.valvetronix.net, and of course the official manual. Hoipe this helps!

Re: Choosing multieffects. GT10? TLLE? ZOOM?

The Zoom stuff is great. Some of it does sound a little overprocessed and digitalized (ex. the octave), but that's kinda assumed. But everything else sounds awesome. I've been using Zoom's stuff for a little over five years now, they're good.

The Boss stuff is awesome, bar none. My cousin's got a ME-50, it's amazing.

Personally if I had the money and a choice, I'd get individual effects in a chain, or I'd go with the Boss GT10.

Re: Choosing multieffects. GT10? TLLE? ZOOM?

Thansk again for the replies ^^
I've done more researching, and the fact is that the 3 are great
I'm thinking of using the Boss GT-10 in the Tonelab LE' send/return loop or vice-versa...
Would it work?
So I could combine the amp/cab simulation and some effects from tonelab and some effects from Gt-10 and eventually record with its USB out.
What do you guys think?

Check out the Digitech GSP1101.

I just saw Geoff Tate (Queensryche) out promoting his solo album and both guitarists were using the GSP1101. Great tones and I talked with both of them and they said the unit was extremely easy to use.

I have a digitech rp250. I actually use it in the loop of my 5150ii and the reverbs are amazing. It's pretty small and fits on my pedal board. Also, I can just plug headphones into it and jam without anything else. For $150 it's a good deal.

Re: Choosing multieffects. GT10? TLLE? ZOOM?

I've just got myself a Vox Tonelab LE and it is surprisingly very good and worth every cent that I paid for. I only paid SGD$325 for a brand new one (there was a discount). Come to think of it, it is actually a steal. The Amp simulations are very close to the real thing. Combine with other pedal effects like Orange Distortion, Metal Distortion, etc, and modulations , delays and reverbs, it sounds killer.

I've owned many multi-efx. These include Zoom G9.2tt, BOSS ME-50, Pod XT and also Boss individual pedals like Boss MT-2, DS-2. Vox is the best multi-effects for me. It blows every single effects that I had before. The tone I get from the Tonelab is warm, natural and most importantly, it doesnt sound digital and fuzzy. This baby simply rocks....

i'm using the G-Major from TC Electronics, about $400 iirc, and i really like it. The Delays, reverbs, and choruses are awesome. The other effects are pretty good too, plus it has a parametric eq.

Re: Choosing multieffects. GT10? TLLE? ZOOM?

I was looking into buying a multi-effect pedal board.

The thing is im very poor. So all these are a bit expensive for me. Are there any cheaper multi effects that are decent?

I would also like to add im kind of a beginner at guitar so i dont know much.

Hello, well, the closest thing you can get to a Digitech GSP1101 but as a pedalboard is the Digitech RP1000. I own it and it sounds great!
