Cliplock straps colour for a JEM7BSB ? - Would the 'vivid gr
Hi guys,
Hey this is my second post
! I hope this one isn't redundant like the first one was
...
Back to my question... I'm about to buy a JEM7BSB (I'll keep you posted on that) and I wonder if the 'vivid green' Di Marzio Cliplocks straps would match the BSB finish nicely. Do any of you know ?
I can't find
Cliplock straps
here, so I would have to buy them online, but I don't want to find myself with straps that don't match my guitar...
Did any of you actually see the 'vivid green' model ? What do you think ?
And, well, I'm open to suggestions about straps for a BSB...
Regards...

Cliplock straps colour for a JEM7BSB ?
I don't know that they're a good match, but it might depend more if the BSB is more green-ish than blue-ish. I would also verify those are still available, as recently there were not from DiMarzio. Perhaps they re-introduced them to market. The color is more a match for the green pickups and green vine from JEMs
I think the black strap goes best with the BSB due to it's color, but it's your axe and your call. Enjoy... glen

Cliplock straps colour for a JEM7BSB ?
Thanks for your help, Glen.
As it happens, the JEM I'm considering to buy is more green than blue, I think (though it's the kind of colour about which people can come to hands trying to decide if it's blue or green...).
As for the green cliplock straps, I think they are available directly from the DiMarzio website...
Well it seems I'm gonna keep the black strap I use with my current guitar, then.

Vivid Green still available, and in the current catalog and on the website.
I think there's also a blue version...

Cliplock straps colour for a JEM7BSB ?
Steve,
thanks for the information...
Anyway I believe the blue ones are a really deep blue, while BSB is more blue-meets-green. I don't think it would look nice...

Cliplock straps colour for a JEM7BSB ?
Simon,
nice idea !
But I'm not sure how to do that... Could you (or anyone) elaborate on this ?
Keep in mind that the cliplock straps are made of nylon, so they might be hard to dye... Or I could start from a cotton-made one, natural color (I can see on the DiMarzio website that they sell those, too, and I think cotton is easier to dye, like clothes)...
Anyway, if anybody did that, please share your experience !
P.S. : merci pour la phrase en français

I got a blue Dimarzio for my Squire which is lake placid blue (Metallic) and it goes perfectly.
But get a white one like the man said but dye it aqua. Since this never turns out right it would look right for the BSb
Just my opinion

having thought about this again, another alternative would be a silver strap. Dont know who makes them though.

I ordered a silver leather
clip lock strap
(a la Satriani) *from Dimarzio for my UV7PBK and it looks great. *I would imagine that it would good with the BSB's pickguard in a cool way.

Cliplock straps colour for a JEM7BSB ?
Gregory,
Did the silver strap that you ordered come with black molded plastic ends or are they the normal leather ends with the brass ferrules and plastic washers that come on DiMarzio's other Cliplock straps? *The silver straps that come with JS10ths have the black plastic ends and they get in the way when you put the guitar in its case. *The normal ends are much more flexible and much less awkward.
Thanks,
J

Cliplock straps colour for a JEM7BSB ?
Jason:
The clip ends are the black triangles. *They do not present any problems when it is in the case. *Of course it is a UV case and therefore it MAY have more room. *I did put the strap on my Jem, but I don't remember if I had a problem fitting it in the case.
Out,

Cliplock straps colour for a JEM7BSB ?
Gregory,
I can't seem to find the straps you mention on the DiMarzio website...
The only close thing I found is the Fleur De Lys strap, but I'm not too fond of this...
Anyway, good idea too !
Keep on submitting ideas guys, you are great !

Cliplock straps colour for a JEM7BSB ?
Wait a minute, there's also a Turquoise model in the Closeouts category...
Anybody seen this one in real life ?
On the picture it looks a bit too blue, but you never know with pictures...
What do you think ?

I had to call Dimarzio and order it. *It was not on their site.
