Barber Tonepress

Check it out too.

I'd say it and the Keeley are the two top ones.

Re: compression pedal...?

with the 2 button keeley, do you have the option to put a 'not so subtle' amount of compression.. i like to tighten up my sound, and slightly compress, but not to the level where you can actually hear I have a compressor on.. I use my compressor on ALL the time, including on dirty sounds.

Then the Barber is perfect for you (not to sound like a salesman).

The Barber excels at doing the subtle, non in-your-face compression because it runs a parallel circuit with your original tone. You can control how much of that is mixed with the compressed signal. It sounds great when I use it with my BB Preamp.

Re: compression pedal...?

I have to say the Exar compressor is the best compressor I have ever had.
It is prolly hard to get in the US though, but it even beat my Keeley, which found a new owner. Especially more subtle sounds and sustain are exceptional.
