It's not a fuse issue, if it was the amp wouldn't power up.
I dont know anything about the engle, are you going through the effects loop with the G sharp or directly into the from of the amp?
If you are going through the loop are you using both the send and return? Are you sure those are hooked up right?

Re: Connecting a Rack please help!

Basically it should go like this in a rack (mounting included):

From BOTTOM to TOP:

Peavey Classic 60 Out to Cab
Engl Pre Out to Power Amp
G Sharp out to Engl
Guitar in to G sharp
(All outs go to next items in)

*Maxcom running through FX Loop of Engl*

I'm no rack nut but i think this is correct, as for the power amp check your tubes glow. Make sure they are all pressed in good (be easy!) and ALWAYS make sure there is a fully functional cab with matching impedence hooked up. Not sure how experienced you are with tube amps so just letting you know...

If you stack the items like i have them (from bottom to top) and take a picture from the back i can draw lines in paint as to where the coords go.

Here i went ahead and made a little diagram. Yellow end to yellow end is where the coords connect. Hope you get this figured out. If any other jemsiter sees an error please help us out cause like i said i'm no rack nut...

*Remember to plug your guitar into the front of the G-Sharp and NOT the ENGL!*

Re: Connecting a Rack please help!

i would go line outs from the engl to the g sharp inputs.
line outs of the gsharp to the bbe inputs.
bbe outputs to the 60/60 inputs.
60/60 speaker outs to the cabs.
remember, you need to hook up both sides of the poweramp
if you have the stereo 60/60. if you have the mono 60, nevermind.
the delays and reverbs will be better in the loop, as i don't think the gsharp likes to see an input from a guitar.

While I can appreciate that you want to help, if you're not sure about the advice your giving, not give the advice. Bad advice is not good. Your diagram is very neat but it's also very wrong I'm sorry to say but I'll give you an A+ for effort.

Seriously thought, don't plug into the G Sharp first then into the Engl. It will sound bad because reverb or delay sounds bad in front of distortion.

Connecting up this rig is pretty simple. Hirah's advice is spot on.

BTW GlassCasket, spending a little time reading about how a signal path works for a guitar rig would behoove you. If you understood that, you'd be able to wire up any guitar rack you can imagine. There are few basic rules to follow but it ain't rocket science.

Nor do you need one. Plug the guitar into your preamp in the front and everything else is connected in the rear of the rack.
