D'addario EKXL120 Tremolo Strings

Hey there, i was wondering if anyone has tried these D'addario EKXL120 Tremolo Strings. I assume they are new to the market as i can't seem to find them in any guitar stores.

Heres the description on the site. http://www.daddario.com/DADProdDetai...D=1&Class=AABA

D'Addario KXL Electric Guitar strings offer the three plain steel strings with a soldered twist for incresed strength at the ball end.

I wonder how these strings measure up in terms of strength, i need something strong as i like to abuse the floyd alot.

If your string snaps at the ball, then maybe this would be a good idea. If the string breaks any other place, then it won't matter. For a double locking tremolo the ball end won't be the issue either way.

Those are for Kahlers, and came out in the 80's. There was also a set deisgned for floyds with no ball ends, and some flat piece that sat in the saddle instead.

Yeah, won't do any good on a floyd coz you're gonna lock out the ball ends anyway.
but are the ones for floyds still in production?
