my friend and i are starting to experiment with shredding and
drum n bass music. drum n bass for those that don't know is electronic music based on fast and intense drum beats with lots of breaks and syncopation and deep, hard bass.
we got inspired after watching paul
gilbert in this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CpJNUGHxC3M
i'm interested in maybe getting a loop pedal of some kind like gilbert uses in the start of the video. i think it could work very well in combination with DnB.
i've been looking at the boss DD6-6s or whatever they are and that whole range of pedals. what i wanna know is, say you're playing along to a DnB song at 150bpm and you record a 2 bar riff that is exactly in time and "hold" it with the pedal. if you set it to repeat, and the DnB song temp doesn't change will it keep repeating in time with the song?
i'm looking to use a loop pedal a poor man's synth sort of; playing short, fast riffs then repeating them via loop pedal but i don't know if it's possible to keep it in time with the song.
any help appreciated.
