I have the GNX3, and I love it. It's a great tool, nice for catching riffs/song ideas on the fly. Lots of versatility and good sounds.

the 2112 allows you to tweak the patches from hell to breakfast and having dual processors also gives it the ability to not "drop out" between patches. i had a 2112 that had all the upgrade chips installed - i just condensed my rig to a few stomp pedals but haven't tried the GNX line. have considered the GNX4 for the recording reasons - let us know what you get

Eh... some of the patches are OK. The artists patches come to mind, like the Eric Johnson, Santana, or Pat Metheney. And a few of the patches have GREAT "unique" sounds, stuff you'd probably never invent. But for MAIN sounds, they generally are just so-so.

But who uses the stock patches?! Certainly not me! I get great sounds out of it, but you'd better believe I edit the halibut out of everything, and get just the sound that I want. The GNX line is pretty darn versatile, with lots of editing options.

Hmm... I imagine you could, seeing as you can do that with the GNX3.
