DigiTech IPS-33 "B" Super Harmony Machine
Does anyone here own one or have any experience with it? I've been thinking of buying an Eventide, but their price is a bit out of my range right now, so I'm thinking of picking up one of these. I always see people calling them "A Poor Man's Eventide", so I'm sure that can be a good thing. Tell me what you think.

I was a happy owner of this machine at mid-90'.
IMHO, VERY good harmonizer,btw.
The delays are great tho.
If you find it and sounds and works 100%, buy it now!

I had one a while back...really nice unit for the money. It does have the same IVL (?) technology that the original whammy had, but I could never get it to do whammy right. Otherwise it's worthy of consideration.

I've been seeing a lot of DHP-33's for sale. Are these better than the IPS's?

I have the IPS and also the DHP-55.
From what i read, the DHP-33 is the same as the IPS, same effects, everything, except that the 33 has an updated front-panel and the internal sample rate is a bit higher. Other than that, they are the same unit.

I'm not too sure if this will help you at all, but I posted up some MP3s of my DHP-55 a while back. You'll find them toward the bottom of the thread here:

I never got to check out an IPS ... there was one at the Guitar Center here in CT, but it was kaput in the rack. Nuts.
Those MP3s should still be active. Let me know if you have trouble getting 'em.
