Distortion Pedals
I'm looking for a new distotion pedal. the two ive been looking at are the Boss
Metal Zone
and the Boss
Metal Core
. Do you guys know which one is "heavier" because I'm looking for a really heavy sounding pedal for like a death metal sound. any info on these pedals or recommendations on other pedals?

I like the Line 6 UberMetal for that kind of thing.

Re: Distortion Pedals
Yeah I second the ubermetal.
I own all three (metal zone, metal core, ubermetal) and the ubermetal is definitely the best at getting a heavy sound that isn't really harsh.

Re: Distortion Pedals
Ubermetal blows the metal zone away. Metal zone sounded buzzy and mid nasal..... Another one you wanna try out is digitech metal master.

Re: Distortion Pedals
THe ubermetal is great, but pricey. I own both the metal Zone and Core, the metal zone is heavier than the core... the ubermetal is a friends, and i liked it
