Do ears tire of solid state distortion after awhile or is it just preference. The reason I ask is because today I plugged in my old DOD Grunge pedal and it did sound cool, for metal, but for say a
Steve Vai sound or Satch sound it was way too harsh and mid-less. A year or two ago I would not have noticed it one bit but now I can tell that I really do not like that sound for the type of music I want to play. Has this happened to any others out there? I know some of you like solid state and that is great. I must admit I bet you can et the best clean sound out of a Roland JC-120 amp than any
tube amp there is. I may be wrong though. Is it just preference or natural evolution? :mc:
