Does anyone use thin guitar pics?

I know picks have been discussed a lot here but I'm just wondering. Do any serious guitar players use very thin picks? Like .42 or .60? I always used to play with heavy picks but revently I've kind of gotten into the habbit of thinner ones. Is it a mistake to get used to a thinner pick? Or is it 100% a matter of prefference. I do feel that sometimes when playing live my playing is a little sloppier with a thin pick, but I play with a lighter touch which is a good thing I think.

Of course it's all preference, but it's generally accepted that a stiff pick is more practical for chops-intensive playing. Of course stiff doesnt necessarily mean thick, it just depends on the material it's made of.

The other guitarist in my band uses very thin picks that bend back and forth when you play and I just don't get on with them. He plays almost entirely rhythm stuff though, so that might be a factor. Whatever works for you man, as long as you've tried both thick and thin it's your choice.

i play all my rhythm parts with a thick pick, and it works just fine, but that's mostly coz i don't feel like swapping picks in the middle of a song. Like Wild Child said, thin picks work really nicely for rhythm, you get great feedback in your picking hand (if that makes sense)
