DR - an odd set...

I have tried a few string brands, including Fender, Ernie Ball, and DR. All DR sets i bought were of great quality, lasting longer than average, sounding bright for about 3-4 days and having good sustain except one set i bought. After stringing my guit (currently i have a Fender strat but am soon gonna get an RG3120) i noticed that they didn't even have bright tone of new strings. Besides, i broke the first string quite early. Dunno hat was wrong. Maybe they were old?

Anyway, now ive bought a new DR set and they sound good as i expected...

I've found the same thing several times, also uneven winding. The QC guy must of been on coffee break too long.I'm trying out SIT strings right now. They tune up remarkably well after very little stretching.

Thanks might try them out...
By the way, another stupid thing, but don't Pure Blues (DR) come in blue boxes? the last set i bought was a black Tite-Fit but it also had a Pure Blues label on it!
So is it Tite-fit or Pure Blues?
Thanks...
