DR Stringlife rocks my socks!

I've been using string cleaners/lubricants for a pretty long time to keep my string in tip top condition. I've gone through stuff like Dr. Stringfellow, Kyser, Gibson, Fast Fret and Jim Dunlop string cleaners/lubricants.

I picked up a bottle of DR Stringlife at my local dealer the other day. This stuff really rocks. My strings have never felt so good, it's like playing a new set of strings everytime I use this stuff.

The strings don't turn all sticky or greasy, and they sound much brighter and feel like a set of new strings.

Apparently it's the same stuff they use on the DR Coated strings, only difference is that I don't have to spend 18 Singapore Dollars to buy myself a pack. It also says it prevents string breakage if you use it on your bridge and nuts, how far this is true only time will tell.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Christopher.

I'm not sure how putting it on your nuts will stop the strings from breaking,
just don't put the strings between your legs.

Re: DR Stringlife rocks my socks!

Hey Chris,
i've been using it for ages. well, about a year now.

Its good stuff, a little pricy but it will last a long time... just gotta be careful how you apply it, otherwise you would soak your fretboard.

It really does prolong the life and it is not oily or sticky.

Application wise, its beofre playing, then after playing. A measly 5 mins in total for extra stringlife.

Re: DR Stringlife rocks my socks!

Yes I totally agree.

I've tried other stuff like fast fret and the dunlop ones, they only make the strings more greasy, there's not much improvement in tone to my ears, but the strings get cleaned with a few wipe downs.

With the DR Stringlife, it supposedly claims to have some molecular bonding technology incorporated when you apply it on your strings. I'm not sure whether this is really true or not, but to me, my strings fell like brand new ones after applying them and leaving them to dry and settle in after a while.

They are a little pricey, but try them out, you won't regret it!
