I just think it would be funny to take that guitar, the Les Paul, as heavy as it is to an insane extreme.

Hmm. I see my slightly tongue-in-cheek prior comment seems to have gotten deleted. ah well...

A serious answer-

-custom 7 string. Alder, quilted maple top. Maybe a nice sky blue. Approximately a JS body shape, but a bit offset and a little slinkier- i'd have to show you guys a sketch or something. Basically, i think it'd both look cooler than your typical RG body, and do wonders to help the balance. black hardware, so it doesn't pimple. Evo-7 in the bridge. Neck, i haven't quite decided, but from what i hear, this paf pro that satch had made for his mahogany JS might be right up my ally. Anyway, by the time i can actually afford a custom, i'll have probably found another pickup combo i prefer anyway, so... Anyway, AANJ, 24 frets, lo-pro, and either an ebony or a birds-eye maple board. Wizard ultra-esq profile. Three way switch, push-pull tone pot for coil tap, and volume.

-custom 8-string. That meshuggah disc is getting to me, lol. Probably alder, again, although i hear good things about the combo of basswood and maple. possibly a multi-radius fretboard- the idea intriques me, but i haven't gotten a chance to play one yet. fixed bridge. baritone scale (you need it, at F#). not sure what's available for 8 string pickups, so i'll worry about that when the time comes. Maybe a nice deep emerald green, preferrably on a quilt. Hell, maybe flame, for contrast. yeah, flame would be ncie. rosewood board.

-custom 6. Strat-y sort of guitar, maple/basswood body w/. AANJ, 22 frets, birdseye maple fretboard, and SAT-30 trem. Maybe with peizos. Three singlecoils, whatevr it is that Eric Johnson uses coil tapped in his guitar- HS-2's, i think? but run through a push-pull tone pot so that i can switch between full power and tapped. 5-way switch. Probably silver, as sort of a tribute to my current strat. black pearloid pickguard.

-Mesa Mark-IV half stack, with some sort of a power break. heck, make it two, one for backup. this IS a dream rig, after all...

-some sort of a good delay processor.

-a wah.

-a really nice taylor.

-cables and strings. lots.

-stu hamm and mike portnoy.

-and for backup guitars, a JS-1000 BTB, UV777BK, my current 2027, my current strat, and maybe a jem90th.

The beast

She is a gibson custom shop, to my specifications. a Black explorer with an airbrushed graphic, 59 rounded les paul neck. unpainted neck, satin finish like on a 7vwh. The pickup set is the 496 and 500 as found in the gothic Explorer. they really scream. The Guitar has a black pearl plate, and matching pearl gibson logo. all the hardware is black.
The graphic is of a pegassus / unicorn in a 'firey night sky' type setting. There is a pegassus / unicorn inlay on the 12th fret of an otherwise unmarked ebony board.
If i had a digi cam, i would take a picture, since i dont, i cant .
I can send you the graphic that was copied and airbrushed onto it to wet your appetite, and i should be able to get hold of a camera very soon!

ALEX B's DREAM GEAR LIST

Let's see here... where to begin...

Guitars: Jem 77GMC, Jem 77PMC (I actually like Hercs a little better than ATDs), UV777BK, UV777MC, Jem 90HAM, Jem 10 (iffie... I don't think I'd get one for playing, and if you don't actually play such a beautiful instrument its something of a crime), Gibson SG flametop (this year's model), 12 string Ovation Legend, 6 string Ovation Adamas, Takamine nylon acoustic / electric

Control synth: Korg Triton Studio

Modules: K2500RS, Proteus 2500, Waldorf Microwave

PC: Pentium 4 2.5ghz, 512mb DDR RAM, dual 80gb SCSI HD, Plextor CDR, Jaz drive, Zip drive 200, dual monitors, nVidia GeForce 4 with dual outputs

Software: Nuendo 2.0 Surround Edition with every possible plugin, Reaktor, FM7, Buzz (http://www.buzzmachines.com/ for those of you who don't know how awesome this program is), Fruity Loops, Acid, Gigastudio with Vienna Orchestral library, Garritan Strings, and Miroslav Vitous Orchestral library, and VDMS Sound for all those 80s PC games we like to play... only now, on Windows XP / 2000

Woop.. that'd do me. Anything else I'd just buy sample CDs if I needed additional instruments.

Here's my dream rig (which includes my own gear)...

Guitars:

-Ibanez RG7620 (which I own... sweet, smooth guitar, but hard to maintain)

-Custom 7 String (extremely ergonomic design with oil finish & versatile, non-locking bridge)

-Godin Multiac Nylon 7 string w/synth access.

-Godin Multiac Steel 7 string w/synth access

-Brian Moore custom electric 7 w/synth access

-Fender Stratocaster (customized)

Keyboards

-Korg 01/W synth workstation (which I own... amazing workhorse keyboard)

-Korg Karma synth workstation

-Korg Triton Studio synth workstation

-Korg CX-3 organ

-Korg MS2000 analog modelling synth

-Yamaha Motif7 synth workstation

-Kurzweil K2600 w/Orchestral + Contemporary ROMs, full RAM upgrade

(I have my eyes set on a Korg endorsement... LOL)

Effects:

-Tons and tons of crazy analog gear (and the ability to stop time to be able to play with all those little toys )

-Eventide Eclipse

-Kurzweil KSP8 (based on the killer KDFX system, one of the more powerful effects processors available)

Amps:

-Custom Line6 setup with both head+cab stacks and combos

-Full range amplifier section for keyboards

I won't start on recording stuff, because the list'll get pretty long I also currently have tons more GAS for synths than I do for guitars... strange, huh (well, not really )

hi

I already own my dream guitar jem7vwh

but i will be happy with an ESP or Jackson custom shop, with 1 humbucker and 2 single pups.
and an electroacoustic with nylon strings.

Amps and multi effects ...

triaxis
G-major
mesa 20/20
mesa 4x12

a good wah..535Q

that sounds good and it s enough

if i have some extra money ..
VHT ultra lead head + 2x12 Fat bottom.

that will be all, except some gear to record, but i don t know yet.
