Dualbar Lo-Pro Edge - Only one or possible to find?
Have anyone seen a dualbar whammy, like the one found on vai.com guitar pages? A VWH with split whammy. Opens up a new world in whammy abuse...

I got a reply from an anonymous Hoshino employee saying that it was a custom job for Steve and that Ibanez doesn't actually do that mod.
You'll have to find a tech who can do it, without breaking it! A good start is the trem on the K-7, since it's already got a hole for both bars. (Although you CAN still "tap" a normal trem for the other hole.)
I wanted one too. Good luck!

Thanks. Guess it won't happen then. Too much hassle and most likely it won't come out good. Can anyone steal the guitar in question?

it'd be funny if the guitar actually turns up being stolen in the next couple weeks or so...
and glen, if any vai.com dudes (i.e. rich pike) come searching around here and interrogating us (because they know that we're obsessive gearheads)... DELETE THIS THREAD!!!
lol j/k
no seriously, i've heard of another company making these commercially as retrofit... i saw it somewhere on harmony central... go search the news headlines of the past year or so, for the search entry, type in "double whammy," i think that's what its called. I remember reading it and going, "what the hell is that!?!?"
good luck finding it... *evil laughter* MUAHAHAH :angryfire:

Cool... That's it! Got to have one. But not untill I'm sure they don't come in Edge size. Would look weird on a Jem...
Anyone with good connections inside Hoshino? Very good?

hey dudes,
go to the official website for the double whammy off that Harmony Central link i gave you...
the address is
www.mydoublewhammy.com
read some of the stuff on there...
i dunno, from what i'm reading, its also designed to fit where
locking trems
also go, not just strat-style ones...
on the official page, go to the "install" link on the upper left, you'll see what i mean.
just read all the material on the page, this is a very promising and stable device, surprising actually...
i might just get one  :silly:
