Dunlop Crybaby GCB-95 Mod

i noticed that dunlop has put out a gcb-95F that has a fasel inductor in it and i was wondering since i have the gcb-95 without the fasel inductor, would i be able to purchase a fasel inductor and replace the one that is currently in my gcb-95. if anyone can help i would greatly appreciate it.

Yes you can change it. They sound good.

have you tried this? if so how long did it take you to replace the gcb-95 inductor with the fasel?

There's nothing to it if you know how to solder. Shouldn't take more than a half hour, tops. I've done it several times. I mod and build wahs.

so even if its one of the newer GCB-95 without the Fasel, i can just unsolder the existing inductor that they put in the GCB-95 and replace it with the Fasel? i just want to make sure because i've never dealt with modding a wah, just distortion pedals and building them.

That's all there is too it. Remove the old one and solder in the Fasel. You might have to drill a new hole for one of the legs of the Fasel. I don't think they line up with the existing holes. There's several hole patterns on the circuit board to choose from. If you can solder, you should be able to handle it. It's really not hard to do.

i know i'll be able to do the mod just one question though. i opened my crybaby up and the inductor that is in it has 4 solder points. does the Fasel have 2 or 4?

There might be 4 terminals on your inductor but it only makes a connection at 2 of them. If you pull the circuit board and look at the back you'll see the trace on the board goes across several holes but there's only 2 connections.
