Re: Edge III Bridges
Oh Christ, here we go again!
Okay, I've said it before, and I'll reiterate: I have an Edge III, and contrary to what some may say, it's not a bad trem. I beat on the damned thing, and it stays in tune REAL well (lot's of Vai/Paul Gilbert-style reverse-dives). Now, with that said, it doesn't beat the
Edge trem
(original Edge was more stout, and got better respoonse out of it, but the Edge III stays in tune as well as my Edge did), but it's certainly been better than most other Floyd-type trems I've played on. Honestly, though, you should try it, yourself, if you haven't already. Lot's no naysayers, who haven't actually PLAYED one, and are simply regurgitating what they've heard.

The only one i havent played/owened is the edge 2, and i dont coment on it. I fine tuned my edge about once a week and have to undo the lock nuts after about 2 weeks. edge 3 on the hand goes outof tune everytime i use. and dont say i havent got it set up properly.

Well, let me just correct you: YOUR'S doesn't stay in tune. MINE does, just fine. Therefor, YOURS is no good. Maybe you didn't set it up, properly..............hehe.
I understand your frustrating experience, but not all of us have shared that. Honestly, the only thing I don't like about the Edge III is that bar design. That said, it's never even remotely attempted to pop out of the socket.

Re: Edge III Bridges
What are you saying? that the quality is inconsistant from unit to unit? Im sure they stay in tune allright you dont use it much or just doing vibrato or dive bombing, but when gargling or pulling up harmonics, there no good.
