I own a
POD Pro and an Art X-15 Floorboard. I love the floorboard with one exception - the lack of a toe switch on the
expression pedals. I love the sound of the wah built into the POD but hate that I can't disengage it quickly via a toe switch like a conventional wah (instead I've got to stomp on some of the other switches to turn the wah off). Like most guitarists, I'm also always seeking new effects.
As a result of my situation, I'm interested in obtaining some new effects, specifically, I'm in the market for a wah, whammy, and phaser. Obviously there are a multitude of options to gain these effects. The two most obvious alternatives are to buy individual effects or to pick up a multi-effects system.
What are people's experiences with running a multi-effects system with their POD Pros? Are you running them before the POD or through the effects loop? What are your thoughts on the best multi-effects system on the market today? How would you rank the new Digitech stuff and the Boss GT line? Anyone checked out the new GT6? Anyone checked out the new Dan-O-Wah or the new Tech 21 wah? Guitar Player mag raved over the Dan-O-Wah but it seems they rave over everything these days....
