ENGL 580 Midi Preamp

Does anyone uses this one?
What are your opinions?
How does it compare to a Triaxis?

It is absolutely KILLER!!! It smokes the Triaxis in every aspect, or it will have to be a need for the rectifier-circuit. I don't own it, but I have played it a couple of times. I own the Engl Savage Special Edition head with the Standard 4x12 and Boogie is not a competitor in the tone-department! The 580 is simple to use, has a great usable direct-out, and best of all: the sounds. It is said to even have a better clean than a Twin.... I would almost agree (it's not a combo, so...). Also, the Triaxis has unbelievable noise on the high gain circuits. Not so with the 580. It also has a very unique "engl-sound". You'll stand out between all the Boogie and Marshall users. It's something new for a change! So, definitely but the 580 over the Triaxis.
