Eventide H3000 Questions!

Well recently I've been looking at these but I've heard it takes a long time for a program to switch to another. Does this mean if I played a gig on the clean channel and then pressed a button for a delay and then pushed it again to turn it off, that I'd be fine and it would instantly switch? So what would happen if I had this slight reverb going on continously on the overdrive channel and then actived a chorus on top of it? Would the chorus take a second longer to get loaded and in between the sound would remain the same (overdrive + the reverb)? Or would the reverb disappear completely and then take a whole second to get me into delay? That would be kind of annoying..

By the way, do any of you guys have clips of this unit? I'd like to use it for most of my effects, like phasing, flanging and reverb but is this too much to ask for this old unit? I might have to go for the ole Gforce..
