Re: Eventide Pitch Factor Pedal

I gotz one and love it...it has alot of the fun little features that the big ones have, but obviosuly it drops all the tweaking options. (The in depth ones anyway).

An example, the old H3000 "Heaven" preset. (You hear it on Passion and Warfare in "The Riddle" after Vai says "So let's make love"...clean part with the notes repeating backwards and forwards, bouncing left and right, and jumping octaves...) It's in there and you have the ability to change the delay rates, whether it jumps up and down in octaves, or just up or just down, and you get a mix for both sets of octaves moving around. Of course it's in stereo as well. Really, it's pretty much all you'd tweak in the H3000 version of the preset...lol

It also sounds really nice and tracks as you'd expect an Eventide to. No outrunning the harmonies...lol Has a nice "learn" function too. You play a chord and step on the button and it picks up the key. (I believe that's in one of the youtube vids about it...sorry if that's old news.)

I haven't found any negatives yet for it. I just bought it about 3 or 4 weeks ago from Tone Merchants. Kinda wish I didn't have another wall wart adaptor on my pedal board, but small potatoes for the fun I'm having with it.

Now if only Ibanez would ACTUALLY SHIP the AF-2 Flanger that has been redated and pushed back 5 times, I could finish my pedalboard...

My suggestion would be to go out, buy it and try it out. Just make sure to find out what the return policy of a store is before you purchase the item.

Re: Eventide Pitch Factor Pedal

Just got mine yesterday but havent tried it yet. After listening to the demos I was pretty much sold. I got mine from ******* so I have the option to return it if things don't work out, i'm pretty sure it WILL work out though. I can't wait to use the wammy with my expression pedal.......i was going to get the digitech whammy until I came across this box.
