Feature on Steve Vai's DS-1 Pedals

Howdy!
I just finished a feature on the pair of BOSS DS-1 pedals Steve Vai sent to be modded. I thought you might like to check out the settings he has marked on one of his pedals. www.robertkeeley.com Just click the Green button at the top that says "Steve Vai's DS-1"

Thanks!

Sounds great, but I get "page not found" errors when I try any of the links on your page. Anybody else having this problem?

Try this...

Is the end result any different if you start with a MIT or a MIJ?

To my ears it really doesn't make a difference if we start with a MIJ or MIT model. The mods dominate the sound to the point where the small variation in parts type do not change the sound.
I hope the links work for everyone.
Thanks ya'll

Interesting, because the tone of the 2 types is so different to begin with. Guess I know what to do with that MIT that's knockin around here somewhere

Keeley - How well does the mod work on the SD-1? Just as well as the DS-1?

SD-1

There is a fellow in the UK that plays in an Ozzy Tribute Band....he had gotten the TS9 mod from us, then ordered a SD-1. He swears by the SD-1 and even ordered a second. He says it has a better tone for his taste and style. Truthfully, he convinced his buddies and they ordered 4 more! So, I guess they are happy with the tone improvement. In the case of the old MIJ SD-1 pedals, the filter in the power supply is more than would ever be needed for today's supplies and it can be removed adding a lot to the volume and headroom of the pedal. In that case it makes a very nice difference!
Ya know, I had a 777FP the entire time I went to college and towards the end, being broke and amazed at the ebay prices let it go...what a shame! I sure miss it these days! ;-(
Take care!
