i have tried a sustainiac on a jackson... they dont seem to sustain than good. the harmonic mode is alright. i have herd that steve vai uses the single sized fernandes sustainer and has a dummy pickup beside.

i guess steve uses the 101 because it's the one with the intensity control,which is what the 3rd volume knob is on flo.i went ahead with 401 myself though,the 101 seemed too much of a hassle for me.it's still not done but i'll keep you posted.

No, it's the 401 on Flo. The diffrence between the 401 and 101 is driver only, the 401 being single coil sized (and Flo has a blank dummy next to it).

Fernandes puts all kinds of combinations in their axes, with one switch, two switches, intensity pot etc, but the kits for installation are either the 401 or 101.
