Frank Gambale and the Tone Navigator

Has anyone heard the Carvin Tone Navigator yet? A friend of mine is considering purchasing one and keeps asking me for advice, but the only reviews I have found pretty much mirror what the Carvin and Frank Gambale sites say. Anyone with experience with it?
