frustrating

hello, this isnt really a question i just wanted to say how frustrating something is. im going to uni in sept and i have to take my big amp, in case i gig its a peavey bandit112 anyway im going to take this crappy kustom practice amp (20 watts) which has had one speaker kicked out of it and replace with another one, the frustrating this is that allthough my big amp is loud, the little crappy amp has a much better clean tone you can hear the natural sound of the guitar alot better and the crappy overdrive cleans up brillliantly, and gives a pleasant buzzing sound compared to the slightly hollow tone of the peavey, what annoys me is that these companies make amps to simulate tubes and you end up losing tone from the guitar itself! it reminds me of the zoom box i used to have! anyone else come across this. also can someone reccomend a good but cheap delay/ reverb pedal, or just reverb. thanx
