G-major vs Yamaha SPX 90 ,any Competition?

i am looking to buy a multi fx and the on that came up alot was the G-major, then i looked in some old guitar mags and seen a lot of guitar players such as Steve Vai, Greg Howe, Richie Kotzen ect.. using the Yamaha spx90.
Has anyone used the spx90, are they any good or is the G-major better in everyway

If you plan on using it in a series loop then forget about the SPX-30. It's a quite old design with ****ty DA-converters by todays standards. It sounds great in a parallel setup though and has some of the best pitch shifting around (except for Eventides).
The G-major is designed to run in series and sounds ok that way(it still colors the tone way to much for my liking). TC is about to release new software for it that will finally have a kill-dry parameter so it will work great in parallel as well.
