gear question

ive just bought a new peavey 100watt/80watt bandit 112, nice amp but is there anything i can do to get rid of the hiss i get from the lead channel.

If it were a ground problem, it'd be more of an electrical "buzz". The hiss is most likely something you'll just have to live with. Every Bandit I've ever played through has had the same issue- nasty hissing when any gain is involved.
