Getting "Limelight" sound from BOSS GT-6

Been trying to, without much success. I just can't get it sound that um... 'gnarly' What did Alex use in first place, chorus can be heard? I can get passable solo tone for that though. Any help appreciated...

Alex was known to run really bag ass mo-fo racks FULL of gear.

I've never liked his tone much. WAY to processed.

During the "Limelight" era he wasn't that involved with all the satanic transistor gear... basically, grab a Les Paul and plug it into a good tube amp, but don't crank the gain, and off ya go. Ditch those multi-whatchamacallits!

If I were trying to get that sound from a multi effects unit, I'd use a little Compression, Chorus, about 50-60% Distortion and some Reverb.

That's for the main part. there's no chorus effect on the solo...for the solo, use the same patch, boost your gain a bit, take off the chorus and add a nice long delay - maybe 350-500ms.

I used to do that song one in one of my old bands - Ill try to find it and put it on an mp3. We had two guitar players in that band - it was nice to hold that note at the end of the solo while the other guitar player continued the rhythm part that goes into the next Bridge.

For that I need also my DD-3 and just put it on hold. Must be careful not to accidentally lift foot though
