Ghetto Rig 2007

The latest gig gear on display at the Slossar house. I call the pedal board "The Tone Sucker." I need to do some more tweaking.

BTW, the Xiphos is fun to play and the pickups are pretty awesome. I can even cope with the trem!

Re: Ghetto Rig 2007

I just came back from my drummer's house... Ever time the china came into play my sound became lost. Makes me want to get something better than my Crate 1x12. Very nice gear... I've only played one of those, the natural finish RGA (at GC); I loved it.

Re: Ghetto Rig 2007

I wasn't very happy at first. Then I started taking the backs off of the cabs, tweaking the EQ etc. I am very pleased with it now and it is a lot more convenient than toting a 4x12 and a head to every show we play. No roadies yet!

How does that 212 legacy cab sound? I was thinking about selling my legacy 412 and getting the 212

Re: Ghetto Rig 2007

I think it sounds great but I had to do some "testing" to get it right. I leave the back of the cabs open and it completely changes the sound. YMMV.

Very nice setup you got there,
i think even Donkey likes it

Do you have the speaker cab connected up to the combo?

Re: Ghetto Rig 2007

Yes, I use the ext cab in larger venues - although I have been toting it to even the smallest of gigs.
