Good deal on a JSX 212

Guys..I have the chance to buy a JSX 212 combo for $800 delivered to me.

It's a guy I know, he's used it for about 10 shows...is this a good deal? Anyone played through one? Thanks!

I have the amp head. Can't go wrong with it. I have nothing more or less to say, i am so stoked about it. Actually instead of telling you how great it is, im gonna be selfish and go play it :P.

But seriously, for that much, you should take it!

It sure seems like a good deal.

He lives 125 miles away and told a friend it would sell it me for $775.00 + shipping, but he guessed shipping to be about $80-$100 do to the size.

When I wasn't real thrilled with that, he called me and said....just make it a nice even $800, and I'll bring it to you.

Seems hard to pass up?

If you're not sure, the best thing to do would be to head to whatever guitar store you have locally that has some of these babies on display and spend a good 30 minutes trying it out and pissing off the store clerks hehe. It'll give you a good idea. Depends what year his is made, but they've been selling them stock with JJ's for a year or two now. And i recommend them. Especially the el34's in the power tube section. If not they will be Sovteks, which are alright, but maybe im a JJ convert ever since i tried em'

Go for it!!! You can easily get your $ back out of it for that price if it isn't your cup of tea later down the road.

I would get it for sure. There's one on that auction site right now for around that price, plus shipping. I have one and I love it. Though, it is very heavy. 85 pounds. It never leaves my house but I am going to be putting some wheels on mine.

I have the head version and I think it's a great amp. (especially with KT-77's in it).
