Good Small Multi-effects with vai/pantera/metal tones?

ok so
im selling my gt8 because its too big for my pedalboard

i want a small one (preferably 9 volt so i can use my multi-adaptor to power it)

is the Digitech RP3 good? its small and cheap and appears good
it seems to have lots of metal tones
whats another good small one?
prefeably not digitech BP series (or new digitech stuff)
and what about boss?
any other brands?
+ should i consider a Roland GR-20 (im a violinist and being able to play all paganini, beethoven and vivaldi on guitar with a violin + guitar at teh same time intrigues me!)
thanks!

the only multi effects ive looked at and liked are the TC electronic ones, too big for you perhaps but there are a couple of G-systems on the bay right now cheap.

Zoom G series, if you want small they have a few models that should be up your alley.
