GT6 tones..

hi folks...

i am a newbie here..feel too scared to even put a point forward in some discussions....everyone is a genius...now please i need a desperate help..

my setup is JEM7V->gt6->marshall AVT20

can anyone please please please gimme some tones for GT6...i need a vai like solo patch...i have some thrash patches but no good solo patch..PLEASE help...i have tried some patches available on net but no success...can anyone help me ?

Have you tried just exploring all the knobs and buttons yourself?Programming on the GT-6 is dead easy. Twirl the knobs until it sounds good. Then save.

i created my own tone that accidentally sounds good for vai's FTLOG well probably much more advance players wouldn't agree with me and think that the tone doesn't sound close to vai, but from what i think it's pretty close hit me up and i'll tell you the settings

I know if you have a compatable sound card you can just do the midi excahnge of the patch from comp to gt6 which is well cool... only if you have a midi output on yer sound card which i bloody dont.

Are you after somebody to actually write you up the settings?

Whats more, if somebody does write up the settings, it more than likely wont sound anything like their patch due to diferent amps and setups, guitars and the general setup of the gt6, such as output type e.g. JC120, stack etc.

So i'd recommend you make your own, its dead simple.

yeah, different setups will produce different sounds though.. but mine is really simple at the moment, just my dbk into gt-6 and to the soundcard cos im on holiday and i left my massive amp in the apartment. the difference may only be on the guitar, well, not that much though.. cos my dbk is equipped with evos.. so there shoudlnt be much difference.. btw megadeth, i've sent the settings to your email check it out and enjoy! but don't blame me for not sounding exactly the same though.. cos nobody can ever produce the same sound as vai himself also, i intended to create my own tone, not copying vai's.. i wanted to use the preamp rectifier's crunch and high mids.. but turned out that way and sounded well for playing FTLOG, so.. keep searching for any patch that sounds closer
