Guitar cables

Hi, in your opinion what's the best quality/price cable around.

Thanks,

Re: Guitar cables

I just got an Elixir cable as a free gift after subscribing to Guitarist magazine. It's pretty good but I wouldn't pay Ģ35 for it!

+1 on the Planet Waves cables. The ones with the switch when you unplug the guitar are good

Re: Guitar cables

I used monster up until very recently when i got ahold of some "lava" cables.

It's like the monster cables are a big step up from crate and cheapo fender cables, figure another huge step up. They are made near here, much like Splawn in fayetteville.

I could get some more info if you'd like.

Re: Guitar cables

Thee Hammer, I would be intrested in learning more about the cables that you use. I will check out their website. I do not understand why anyone would buy expensive equipment and use cheap cables. I know a lot of people say that they can not hear any difference between cables, but I could instantly hear a difference between the Monster cable and Fender cable I had been using.

If you want to read a great comparison about cables check out the May 2008 issue of Guitar Player magazine. They tested and compared 49 different cables.

Re: Guitar cables

I used to play with Monster cables but mine got too easily tangled. I switched over to Gold Mogami. Sounds better in my ears but kinda pricey.
