Re: Guys, what your Value for Money 009-042 electric strings?

Just some thoughts off the top of my head. Hopefully it's somewhat useful...

1-Try to work some kind of minor endorsement with a string company. This should get you some kind of small discount...

2-Get a full or part time job working for a music store where you most likely will get a discount of some sort...

3-Get your tax ID # and start buying wholesale from someone...

4-Buy a more expensive coated string in the hopes that it will last much longer, therefore saving you money

By the way, where are you? I want to make sure I never move there.

Good luck bro

I get the bulk Rogue strings from Musicians Friend. I've been using them for 20 years and only broken 2 in all that time. They are consistent with no flaws otherwise I would have switched at some point, right? They are made by a factory that makes many brands of strings and I pay less than $3 per set. Good stuff - great price.

Hey guys

yeah for a single 6 string pack of Ernie ball super slinky
they are priced at $16 au which probably about $18 US

the 6 string daddario exl120 009 to 042 are about
$15
but you can buy 10 packs for $100

looking on the bay and have found better prices

which is better? Daddario exl120 or super slinky

You must be in some regional area to be paying that much. I just bought a set of GHS Boomers yesterday for $10. Sure that's more than US, but better than what you're paying. D'Addarios are about the same for me too.

Where are you in Australia?

I like the Dunlop 9-42s or 9-46...or DRs,

I think D'addarios are toneless, I break Ernie Balls for some reason, so in a pinch I will use boomers.
