Has anyone rewired their speaker cabinet?

Has anyone rewired the interior of their speaker cabinets. *I can speak for Marshall and say that the wiring between the speakers and to/from the input jack is wired with a very small gauge wire. *Anyone ever see it? *I would wire a toaster with it! *I might replace mine and upgrade to a beefier cable. *Has anyone done this? *What cable did you use? *Someone at alt.guitar.amps suggested using lamp cord, but I might use something like Belden.

"lamp cord" aka Zip Cord is....okay....for rewiring. *I'd suggest going with the Belden or some Canare'. *Monster Cable is decent too. * Even Radio Shack has some good cable...cheap too! :-)*

My Marshall 4x10 cab had something like 48 AWG in it. LOL *It got rewired with 12 AWG. *That might have been a bit of overkill, but it worked like a champ.

That's about what's in my 4x12 right now. *Pitiful. *You would think they would put something better *in a cabinet that costs over $700. *Oh, well. *I like DIY projects like this. *Thanks for the input fellas!
