Having an issue with my new cab...

...It's not working!!

Its a Genz Benz G-Flex 2x12. It looks awesome and was so looking forward to trying it out, but alas, its not working.

I matched the impeadance on my amp to the cab and tried to fire it up, but no luck. Messed around with different combinations...nothing. The guitar and cable work fine through my practice amp. The speaker cable and amp were working perfectly this sunday at my friend's house. All connections are tight.

The only sound im getting is if i turn up the gain and volume a lot....if i play, i can hear ultra faint, very buzzy notes. All the tubes are normal in color and brightness (one preamp tube looks slightly fainter). I opened up the back plate of the cab to see if all wires were connected, and it appears so.

Does anybody have any suggestions for rectifying the situation? I already emailed the store owner about it.

Does your amp work through another cab......?
Easy way to diagnose.

Another thing to try is:
Plug your speaker cable into your cab.
Get a short piece of wire and 1.5V battery somewhere.
Try applying voltage on the other end of the speaker cable. You should just "scratch" the battery with a wire to produce loud farting sound. If it's LOUD - nothing's wrong with your cab. Do NOT leave the battery connected to the speaker though. Not only this can harm the speaker, the battery may explode as well.

The cab is now up and running...I was about to give up with trying for the day and tried one last combination, and it finally works. The cab sounds so massive and nice!
