I personally feel that a very high quality cable will serve you well. As much money as you spend on a head/ cab setup, using a cheap $6 speaker cable or (shudder) a guitar cable is utterly insane. A high-end Monster should do the job very well, plus they come with a lifetime warranty (which I've taken them up on manya time). You will notice a big change in sound quality....more lows and better clarity.

Monster Cable. The cable could be snapped into eight pieces, and as long as you have both ends, they will honor the warranty.

Cheers,
Butch

Yes I use Monster also. The sound is superb. But reliable?? HELL NO!! Buy many backups my friend. Now you might have much better luck with them wiring up a head and cab and such but using one into the guitar jack cannot take much abuse before it disconnects itself. They have recently begun to install shrink-wrap around the outside of the connection but already one of those have gone on me...back to GC!!! (this will be my 6th time replacing this cable)

head to cab cables???

I read this was the most important cable. *All other cables are insignificant compared to this one. *Don't know if thats true or not, but I bought a good cable with Neutrix ends to be sure :cheesy:

I highly recommend Monster Studio Pro speaker cable. *Thick gage, and great response. *It costs a little more than the competition but is well worth the $$ *Plus Monster has a lifetime guarantee. *Take it right back to Guitar Center and tell them to give ya a new one if it breaks *

head to cab cables???

I couldn't find a Monster cable less than 20 feet. I would buy one if they came in 10 ft., but 20 ft. to go from a head to a cab, no thanks.
