Help arranging pedalboard and how to use Boss NS-2

I recently started using effects pedals and recently got a Boss NS-2. I am confused on how to arrange the pedals and how to use the send / return input / output on the Boss NS-2.

My current pedals are:


Boss TU-2 (tuner)
MXR-102 (compressor)
EH Big Muff Pi (fuzz)
Boss NS-2 (noise suppressor)
Boss TR-2 (tremelo)
Boss DD-3 (delay)
Boss RV-5 (reverb)

I would greatly appreciate any help you could give me on how to connect the pedals properly.

Then maybe read the NS-2 manual if you dont have one, then the boss website will have it..

Good luck and a big part of what your about to go through is experimenting and is alot of fun and can take many many years to perfect how you like it..

People spend most there lives tweaking and buying new stuff so just have fun with it

Guitar into the tuner, tuner output into the NS2 input. Stuff that adds noise (compressor & fuzz in your case) goes in the NS2 loop. NS2 output to the tremelo, delay & reverb.

Naah, I would put this thing first in the FX loop.

I did so with my ADA MP-1 rack and the NS-50. Good thing was that:
1. it did cut off any hiss that came from my pre fx and preamp.
2. awaked instantly
3. if you put it very early in your chain, that's one of these pedals that could suck some tone/beef from your signal before it hits booster/distortion pedals or your preamp.

I didn't test it with the NS-2 pedal version but it should be the same. My Tu-2 sucks some tone btw, try it in and out you chain once in a while

G -> TU-2 -> MXR -> EH -> (TR2) -> AMP -> (TR2) -> DD3 -> RV5

OP didn't mention what he was running the pedals into so I ignored any amp and its loop in my reply.

The NS-2 is not the same as the NS-50. It has its own fx loop, with all of your "noisy" pedals running inside the loop to isolate the noise from the clean signal. It can be used as a 2-plug pedal but it's not at its best that way. It's far more transparent if you use the loop as described.
