Help me choose a multi-fx

Hi, i want to get a new multifx pedalboard,
This are my options:

Line 6 Pod xt live
Zoom g9.2tt
Vox tonelab se
Boss gt8
Digitech gnx3000
Digitech gnx4

Right now im intested on the zoom, because of the integrated tubes. Because ive always have used digital stuff, and would like to try something more oraganic.

I stated the line 6 cuz im wanting to get a variax guitar too, so, ill be using this one as the interface.

A friend has a Vox tonelab se and has some good tones. Also has a tube

I havent heard the boss and digitech stuff.

What do you think about this units.
What would you choose?

Re: Help me choose a multi-fx

I've had a GNX4 for 2 yrs now and with the addition of the Super Series line of patches this thing still amazes me.... Everytime I think I don't like it and could have better I dial in another great patch and my worries go out the door.

I have a GT8 and think it is excellent - every effect you could ever want, easier than it looks to use and 340 patches !!!!

Re: Help me choose a multi-fx

Just make sure you've got an analogue distortion to go with it and any of those will do fine.

Re: Help me choose a multi-fx

Went to the music store today, got GAS and bought the Zoom g9.2tt, I tested this one and the line 6 pod xt live.

This one had better distortions, and the guys at the music store told me that zoom was a better sounding unit, also that it was the last one they had.

So, i got it, now im reading the manual to get some patches worked.

Now that you have fully tested Zoom G9.2tt, perhaps you can run thru with us as how each effect sounds, delay, distortions, modulations, amp modelling etc. I am seriously considering this unit. Any comments are really appreciated....Thanks

Just bought a Gt-8 about a week ago, overall pretty happy with it, like the versatility, have yet to hook it up to the pc though.

How's the distortion on GT-8? I used to have BOSS ME-50. I hated the distortion because it sounds thin. I compared my BOSS analog pedal (MT-2) to BOSS ME-50, I would take my Metal Zone any day.

As far as I know, Zoom G9.2tt has this technology called the tube accelerator which they actually incorporated with this unit to make the distortion and other effects sound more organic. It is supposed to be a new technology and I am prepared to give it a test drive. Hopefully, the distortion sound is as close as my analog pedal. Dont know about Gt-8 though

Make sure you get a midi convertor and download the G9 programme off zoom.
You can then adjust all your parameters on your P/C as it looks like an effects rack. EASY! :-)

I didn't know about this? So as soon as you plug your board in via USB this app picks up all the patches and you can edit them much easier on the application?

How would a Me-50 sound? instead of buying too many stompboxes, i got a MT-2 for my distortion
