Help me find awesomeness

This is a play-off from my last thread, "What are your favorite modulation pedals?"
I need suggestions for the best chorus, rotating speaker, and tremolo pedals. I would go try out a bunch, but my local guitar center only really carries Boss on Digitech.
They MUST be TRUE BYPASS and ANALOG. Again, only looking for chorus, rotating speaker, and tremolo.
The chorus needs to be a sort of Scofield thing; the tremolo needs to be sort of Charlie Hunter; the rotating speaker needs to be that classic Hendrix thing.
I would prefer that the pedals aren't two-in-one deals, like tremolo/chorus crap. I want straight up one-effect boxes--I don't want my chorus to be able to handle my echos too.
Price isn't a huge deal--I'll pay for better quality. But $400 boxes are a bit much, like the Hughes & Kettener Rotosphere.
Thanks alot in advance. Remember, TRUE BYPASS and ANALOG chorus, tremolo, and rotating speaker pedals.
Thanks!
Smitty

Re: Help me find awesomeness

The term "best" is very subjective and is entirely up to the player.
sometimes I don't like using entirely analog, but rather a mix between digital and analog and combining them into a unique sound.

Re: Help me find awesomeness

Guitar Player mag with John Fogerty on the cover has a review of both tremolo and Univibe clone pedals - suggest you have a read.

FWIW, the ultimate holy grail of Chorus pedals, the Boss CE1 Chorus Ensemble was about the least true bypass pedal ever made, and frankly most digital delay and modulation devices sound better than analog stuff in any case (and, yes, I have owned two CE1s, a first issue CE2 and the very first Ibanez Chorus pedal too....... come to it, I have owned two original first series Ibanez Tube Screamers - yup, the model with the bouncy switch, and yes, they are vastly overrated too - give me a Fulltone OCD ANYDAY!)

Cheers

Re: Help me find awesomeness

Gee, imagine that, ElCid and CosmicDebris start yet another round of useless thread-ruining. Must you do this to EVERY thread that I start? It's really getting pretty annoying.

I mean "best" by your standards. Remember, I don't have any stores near me that carry anything worth trying, and I can't try out any vintage pedals, or any pedals in that case, that I don't own. This is why I asked your opinions.

Unless you need to use all three effects at once: http://www.roger-mayer.co.uk/voodoo_vibe.htm

It can conjure up an absolutely identical swirly tone to that of Pink Floyd's "Breathe," as well as a LOT of other classic sounds.

Sounds awesome!
But $500 for a pedal is just too much!
Thanks for the link though man.

Re: Help me find awesomeness

You'll pay quite a lot for any decent analog pedals in any case Smitty - have a look at Lovepedal's site - Sean does a Univibe emulator which is not expensive, and I ordered one from the sound on the clips alone. If you want a pedal that does just about everything, but doesn't cost huge bucks, I'm afraid you sort of owe it to yourself to try the Line6 Modulation Modeler (or whatever it's called - the one with four footswitches) - you are back in digital land unfortunately, but they sure do a lot for the bucks!

Cheers

Re: Help me find awesomeness

If I were doing my pedalboard over again, I'd get the Micro Vibe ($150) and Tremolo ($130) from VooDoo Lab and an MXR Carbon Copy analog delay ($150). They're all hardwire true bypass.

Smitty
Think of it as $500 for 3 pedals.
