How many of you guys run a fender + some pedals??
Very common setup (not sure about on a jem message board).. I am sure some of you guys do this.. I was experimenting with some setups the other night and got a great tone by using my fender supersonic as a preamp (speaker still active).. I ran a line from the preamp out into the input of a hotrod deluxe.. sounded awsome.. How many of you guys rely on a great
clean tone
and a od pedal

Yeah I use pedals into a Fender. I've been using it so long like that I'll probably never change now.

I use my Orange with a slightly dirty channel and a Full Drive 2 for the high gain stuff

I use a Carvin X100-B half stack set to the full 100 watts and turned low for pristine clean, and overdrive it with a digitech RP2000. With the Bartolinis in my VWH I can go from smooth jazz to metal with a tap; very convenient and while its totally overkill for a non-gigger like myself it still suits so it ain't going anywhere

I've been using a Fender HotRod DeVille 410 for a while; I usually use a
Voodoo Lab
Sparkle Drive or a Barber Direct Drive for dirt. I like it a lot!

What kind of tones can you get out of fenders and pedals (good ODs)? I can't imagine getting a good heavy tone comparable to a cranked marshall or mesa. Is it possible?

right on brotha! ive got a sparkle drive as well.. its a very useful pedal.. for some rigs id use it as a light OD, for some id use it as a clean boost on my dirty channel (to top it off for leads)

I use the Metal Muff for that. It's a prety nasty pedal but it gets the job done.

I have an old
Fender Deluxe Reverb
that sounds fantastic with my TS-9 in front of it. It's not so hot sounding for high gain but it's great for everything else.
