Re: How much gear do you take to your shows?
i'm very lazy. (and possibly stupid)
i'm so sick of carrying a backup guitar to every gig when (touch wood) i havn't needed one yet. so i don't bring one anymore.
i have found a way to fit all my leads in my pedal board case.
so now i have four peices for every gig: quad box, Mesa head in it's roadcase, ibanez in it's case, and my pedalboard case.

Re: How much gear do you take to your shows?
i take two guitars.
my 2x12 combo
my pedal board (which is a hard case)
my gig bag that has all my cables/tuner/spare plecs in it.
it all fits neatly in my car boot (except one guitar, which has to sit on the back seat)
if the venue is a smaller one, i sometimes take six mics, stands and leads with me, just in case.

i hope you don't sit the amp like that at gigs.
if you were in my band you be buying a new head every week

Re: How much gear do you take to your shows?
that is a little strange to have it on the floor like that when it would sit nicely on the Legacy 2x12 you have there.

Re: How much gear do you take to your shows?
Here's my band's stage.....
Our new PA is has (2)QSC 18' powered subs, (2)QSC powered 4' towers with 2-15" & horns that go on top of the 18"s, a 16 channel Allen & Heath mixer with built-in digital effects, a side rack of Lexicon effects, DBX compressors and headphone monitor amps, 100' 16 channel snake and everything including all drums are mic'd. Bass goes direct. We also use 6 wedge monitors on stage. We will need to upgrade to a 24 channel board soon. The 550 is now a backup to my Jackson Dragon.
I'm running all four 4-12" Marshall cabinets now: 2 from the JCM900 head and 2 from the AVT150 head for cleans (although only micing one of each). I'm using an A/B switch set on both and dialing in the clean with the overdrive - you get the roar and yet hear every single note in a chord from the clean side. We have a full-time soundman and are currently looking for a lightman.

Re: How much gear do you take to your shows?
you guys must make a ton of money at your gigs to afford all that high end gear and have a full-time soundman.
QSC, A&H, 3 full Marshall stacks, lights, 6 wedges: it's like a mini Woodstock on that stage.
