Re: How much gear do you take to your shows?

Making connections is a BIG part of the game but nothing matters if you don't have a quality product to offer and like jemaholic said you have to be "ON" or like I say, "on your best game".

Never bash other bands or ever talk smack as it will come around 10 fold and is VERY unprofessional. You could loose gigs with a bad attitude and other negative things (drink too much, smoking pot in the parking lot, getting caught having sex in the parking lot, ect). You are considered an employee when you are being paid by a club or concert and must act accordingly (just drive a few blocks away from the venue being very sly so know one notices your departure and re-arrival when engaging in said activities, not that I do mmmmkay ).

Re: How much gear do you take to your shows?

i tend to go pretty simple for my live sound now

just my neckthru rg to a behringer vampire stack with all the presets because moving gears and loading and unloading them is defintely not fun.
Maybe a backup guitar just incase things goes wrong. Depending on the importance of the show and the number of songs in the set.

If its a small performance. I dont even bring my main guitar. Just my backup guitar.

Then I guess your back up would be your main in those situations and not your back up

Curious though, why wouln't you bring your main? It is called your MAIN GUITAR for a reason, right?

i guess i shud call them main studio guitars..you know, in live situations, guitars do take alot of beating, and i really like the guitars to last long so in the more brutal songs and places where i can avoid, i use the backup guitar instead...the backup is still tweaked out but the guitar itself is less precious and can be replaced...

like, in studio, get the prefect sound ..where as live, you try to emulate what you did in studio..

Cool. I do things very similarly myself depending where the gig is and if it is outside or inside makes a difference which guitars I bring.
