I spent more than I care to remember.
Of course, value and cost are on different ends of the spectrum. All but my Taylor and DNA were bought at/below cost (Taylor was 5% markup I believe, thanks Jeffrey!). I paid half the normal value for my amp. And EVERYTHING I own involved selling something else to get. I can't justify buying something new completely out of pocket as I have way too much junk.

Somehow, I feel good because I only buy absolutely killer bargains (eg: ATD MC for US$800
)
I only have been on a regular job for 3 months now (the rest was ocassional stuff while studying) so I think NOW I'll begin spending!

I'd be more concerned about essentially inviting people to
COME ROB MY HOUSE
than my significant other finding out.

Current inventory hovers around the "way more than I though it would add up too" mark...makes me think I should review my homeowners policy

i actually looked over my shoulder when i read the "incriminating for significant other to stumble on" and then laughed really hard!!
maybe only 10k, but my guitar equipment wish/want/need list will top me out at 20k not including getting into studio stuff

Yeah, but he forgot to mention that one guitar was a rare JP 7 string that has an original printing from picasso etched onto the body... and it cost him $25k.

eh, I'm fed up with gear. i can't afford good stuff, with the exception of my two jems, so I spend an ungodly amount of time trying to get mediocre stuff sounding good.
I've actually been known to spend days preparing and tweaking my gear to record guitar parts.
