How much money have you spent?

How much money has everyone here spent (in their own currency) on guitars and gear that you own right now. You cant count gear that you bought then sold though. After my guitar from Rich arrives, ill have spent about $2100 on gear and guitars. Being a student with a crummy part time job, i think thats pretty good

A lot.

Actually...upon further thought, it's not nearly as much as I had about a year ago. I've sold off a LOT of guitars. It still comes in right around $30K (a little higher). Ugh. Down about 25% from a little over a year ago.

My current gear list tops out at about $10,000.

Double that figure if you include gear that has been traded or sold.

I second the motion for deleting this thread!

I almost cried when I figured out values for my insurance cover - to replace all my stuff new would be £12k. Pleased to say I didn't pay that much for it but it makes you think!

I've tried not to think about this, lol. However, every once in a while a wake-up call is good... This is what I currently own:

RG-7620: $700 + $120 for pickups
Fender US Strat $700 + $120 for pickups, $50 for various graphite bits, and $30 for a new pickguard
Squier P-Bass 5-string $200
Martin MC16C-GTE $800

Marshall TSL-100 $1100, plus $100 in tubes
Mesa Rectifier 2x12 $500

Crybaby Wah um... $80, maybe? I don't remember, it was years ago i bought that thing.

and let's say about $100 for miscellaneous stuff- gig bags, slides, tuners, etc.

Yikes. $4600. I've always joked I could buy a car for what I've spent on gear... Eh, i could have, but my tone wouldn't be half this good.

The kicker is, compared to a lot of you guys, this is pretty sparse.
